Jon Block

Jon moved to Orcas in 1989 after coming here on vacation and falling in love with the island and its relaxed pace. He says Orcas offers the best of small-town America combined with an eclectic mix of people from all walks of life. With integrity and a strong Midwestern work ethic, Jon has sold property here since 1995 and stays focused on keeping abreast of changes in our island’s dynamic real estate industry. Jon also offers property management for absent owners and expediting services for large and small projects (gutter cleaning, deck washing, etc.) through Orcas Property Services. Steve Rush

Steve was born in Chicago and moved to Seattle in the 1960's to work in the steamship business after college and the army. It was during this time that he visited Orcas with friends and decided he would make Orcas his home someday. In the 1980's he lived on a sailboat here for several years and finally moved to Orcas full time in 1990. He and his wife - an architect - built their waterfront dream home in Rosario where they currently live with their dog Goose. Aside from the beauty, the water, whales and the micro climate, Steve says it's the people that keep him here. With 24 years experience in real estate, building and development, Steve can help you realize your island dream too. Contact Steve on his cell at 360-317-5911 or email s435@yahoo.com.
Megan Duke

Megan moved to Orcas as a kindergartener and graduated from Orcas High School in 2003. She attended school exclusively on the island except for her freshman and sophomore year when her family sold their dream home and took off on a sailboat to travel through the South Pacific. She home schooled herself for her first two years of high school with minimal input from her parents and worked in New Zealand for several months while they waited out the hurricane season. Megan attended Whatcom Community College in Bellingham and spent a quarter in Barcelona, Spain. She got her real estate license in 2007 and worked with Coldwell Banker in Poulsbo. In October she gave birth to Royce, a wonderfully sweet little boy. Megan has worked for several businesses on Orcas and was always known as a hard worker who treated her employers and customers with integrity. Her parents have lived continuously on Orcas since 1991 except for the cruise. She is proud to have grown up in such a unique and wonderful community and is excited about sharing it with others.
